Softball Recap: Indian Creek Triumphs

Indian Creek lost to Somonauk back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. Indian Creek walked away with a 5-2 victory over Somonauk. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Avery Boehne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Gretta Oziah was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got Indian Creek back to even at 2-2. As for Somonauk, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Indian Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against Somonauk: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
