Basketball Recap: West Texas Takes a Loss

West Texas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 50-24 to the Stratford Elks. The Comanches were not able to make up for their defeat to the Elks from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

West Texas' loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Stratford, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

West Texas will host Vega at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Stratford, they will venture away from home to face off against Sanford-Fritch at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Sanford-Fritch's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Stratford's offense will have their work cut out for them.
