Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph D Defenders vs. Cornerstone Family Saints

After both having extra time off, the St. Joseph D Defenders and the Cornerstone Family Saints will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Joseph D is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Shawnee Mission Christian. St. Joseph D secured a 47-41 W over Shawnee Mission Christian on December 10th.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Family entered their tilt with Heritage Christian two weeks ago with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They breezed by the Eagles to the tune of 64-29. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 34 points or more this season.

St. Joseph D took a serious blow against Cornerstone Family in their previous matchup back in February, falling 61-24. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cornerstone Family's Nate Smith, who went 9 for 11 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds.
