Volleyball Recap: Lincoln's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Lincoln entered their tilt with Brookings on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Lincoln was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 28-26, 25-7.

Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julia Blom, who had 14 digs and two assists. Blom has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Hayden Kok was another key player, getting nine digs.

Lincoln was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Lincoln's record now sits at 15-4. As for Brookings, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
