Volleyball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Beats South Ripley for Their Third Straight Victory

Jac-Cen-Del took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against South Ripley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Raiders 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Jac-Cen-Del got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 12-25, 15-11.

Jac-Cen-Del found their leader in sophomore Josie Allen, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Allen.

Jac-Cen-Del's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Ripley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Jac-Cen-Del didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Southwestern on the 25th. As for South Ripley, they will welcome Hauser at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
