After a string of five wins, Slidell's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Slidell actually scored more points across those five sets (106-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Ella Kate Spilling and Lillian Simpson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Spilling had 36 digs, while Simpson had 17 digs.

Slidell's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Metairie Park Country Day, their record is now 9-4.

Coming up, Slidell will face off against St. Scholastica at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metairie Park Country Day, after both having extra time off, they and McGehee will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
