The Valders Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Crivitz Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valders' hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
Valders had taken Two Rivers down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Vikings fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

Megan Hochkammer spent all 10.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 19 consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Crivitz ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Kewaunee 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.
Taryn Tracy made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed eight innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Tracy was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kirsten Pusick, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Marli Meyers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Crivitz always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kewaunee only posted an OBP of .312.
Valders' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Crivitz, their record now sits at 20-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Valders hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Crivitz struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
