Basketball Game Preview: Molalla Indians vs. Newport Cubs

The Molalla Indians will take on the Newport Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Molalla came up short against Creswell and fell 46-39.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Newport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-48 win over Estacada on Friday.

Newport's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Molalla, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Molalla came out on top in a nail-biter against Newport when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 51-48. Will Molalla repeat their success, or does Newport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
