Baseball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Penn Cambria Panthers by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rams have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Richland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finnegan Bradley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Talon Urbanek was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Richland now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Penn Cambria, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland will square off against Hollidaysburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn Cambria, they will face off against Bishop Guilfoyle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Marauders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
