While Louisa County's victory against Goochland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 23, 2025.

Louisa County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Goochland, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Louisa County will take on rival Western Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Goochland is set to face off against their familiar foe Monticello at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
