Basketball Game Preview: Berkeley Prep Buccaneers vs. Lakewood Spartans

The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers will face off against the Lakewood Spartans on Monday. Berkeley Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Berkeley Prep needed a bit of extra time to put away Tampa Prep. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over the Terrapins.

Meanwhile, Lakewood didn't have too much breathing room in their game against IMG Academy Black on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 55-49 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Berkeley Prep has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Lakewood, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

Berkeley Prep beat Lakewood 51-41 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berkeley Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
