Crescent Valley took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Corvallis, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 11-10. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Crescent Valley got a massive performance out of Abby Kessler, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Keyera Officer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Crescent Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Corvallis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Crescent Valley will take on rival West Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Corvallis is set to square off against their familiar foe Silverton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
