Ovid-Elsie came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hill-McCloy Rams 55-31. Given the Marauders' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Rams are ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ovid-Elsie's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.3 points per game. As for Hill-McCloy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
