Basketball Recap: Immanuel's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Immanuel posted their biggest victory since December 4, 2024 on Wednesday. They blew past the Reedley Pirates 70-50. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Leading Immanuel to victory were Bennett Cords and Micah Vossler. Cords went 9 for 17 en route to 23 points and six boards, while Vossler went 7 of 9 on his way to 16 points. That's the most points Vossler has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Joseph, who posted nine points.

Immanuel's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Reedley, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Immanuel will take on Central Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Reedley, they will challenge Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
