Recap: Granville Christian Academy vs. Genoa Christian Academy
After flying high against the Northside Christian Lions last Tuesday, Granville Christian Academy came back down to earth. Granville Christian Academy was beaten by Genoa Christian Academy 57-29 on Thursday. Granville Christian Academy has not had much luck with Genoa Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Granville Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Ella Rhoads, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rhoads has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Hamilton, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Leah Kinley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Genoa Christian Academy, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Kinley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagan Schuck, who scored 14 points.
Granville Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. As for Genoa Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Granville Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Liberty Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Genoa Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Delaware Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Delaware Christian is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
