Rachel Richardson leads Athens Christian Preparatory Academy to victory over St. Mary's

Recap: Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm vs. St. Mary's

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christian Heritage, the Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against St. Mary by a score of 53-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Athens Christian Preparatory Academy also won the last time the pair played on January 5th.

Rachel Richardson was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with seven assists and two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Normandin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for St. Mary's, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to square off against Regents Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Heritage's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so St. Mary's offense will have their work cut out for them.
