Basketball Recap: St. Georges Tech Starts Season with Victory Against Conrad Science

St. Georges Tech had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Conrad Science Red Wolves 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since January 23rd.

Joshua Obiora went supernova for St. Georges Tech, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. Obiora is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harold Best, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Conrad Science's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

St. Georges Tech will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Delcastle Technical at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Conrad Science, they will challenge Mount Pleasant at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
