Softball Recap: Bremen Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bremen's offense. They came up short against the Columbia City Eagles on Wednesday, falling 9-0. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Bremen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliana Grubbs, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Columbia City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremen will head out to face off against LaVille at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.33 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Columbia City, they will venture away from home to challenge Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
