Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Mountain Matadors vs. Tempe Buffaloes + How To Watch

The Shadow Mountain Matadors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Tempe Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Shadow Mountain lost 83-63 to Mingus on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tempe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 60-54 to Shadow Ridge.

Shadow Mountain will have to keep a close watch on Tylann Hendrix Meadows and Max Joslin, a pair of players who had a big impact on Tempe's prior game. Hendrix Meadows posted 16 points, while Joslin put up 16 points and six rebounds. Hendrix Meadows' big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deryke Tucker Jr, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 23 boards.

Tempe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Shadow Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Shadow Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Tempe in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 57-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Matadors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
