Volleyball Recap: Fort Meade Comes Up Short

Fort Meade and Frostproof squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Fort Meade had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. If the Miners were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fort Meade started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-10, 25-6, 27-25.

Fort Meade's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Frostproof, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Fort Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frostproof, they will face off against Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
