Northern Lehigh can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Lehighton Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-2 on April 9th.

Addison Smith spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Northern Lehigh let Emily Gad and Skyelar Horack run wild. Gad went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Horack went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Horack has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Danyluk, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northern Lehigh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Northern Lehigh's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Lehighton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Northern Lehigh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-11 win against Jim Thorpe on the 2nd. As for Lehighton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-4 loss against Bangor on the 3rd.
