Baseball Recap: Monroe County Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Monroe County came up short against McKenzie, falling 17-2. Monroe County hasn't had much luck with McKenzie recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Monroe County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for McKenzie, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-12.

Coming up, Monroe County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hillcrest at 4:00 p.m. As for McKenzie, they will welcome Flomaton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Tigers have won four straight at home, while the Hurricanes won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
