Football Recap: Bath County Wins Going Away Against Eastern Montgomery + How To Watch

Bath County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They strolled past the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 37-18. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

Ethan Bryant had a dynamite game, rushing for 191 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 48 receiving yards. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hunter Kirby, who threw for 167 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Bath County proved: they limited Eastern Montgomery to a paltry 1.5 yards per carry. The Chargers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kellan Stewart, who picked up 127 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Owen Clatterbuck also deserves some recognition as he passed for his first passing yards of the season.

Bath County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Eastern Montgomery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
