Softball Recap: Bridgeland Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bridgeland can now relate to. They fell 5-2 to the Klein Oak Panthers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-5 defeat on Wednesday.

Bridgeland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Klein Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

While Bridgeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
