While Colfax didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the Nevada Union Miners 5-4. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Wyston Genest, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Lewis, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Colfax is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. Nevada Union moved to 4-2-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Colfax didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against Center on the 10th. As for Nevada Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-3 win against River Valley on the 10th.
