Recap: Brackenridge Eagles vs. Marcus Marauders
On Thursday, Brackenridge had to suffer through a rough 87-44 loss at the hands of Marcus. While losing is never fun, Brackenridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 702nd, while Marcus is ranked 20th).
Defeat or not, Brackenridge got some senior leadership from Isaiah Cardona who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals and Javi Solis who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was Cardona's tenth in a row with at least ten points.
Brackenridge bumped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Marcus, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Brackenridge will square off against Winn at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Winn is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Marcus, they will take on Judson at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Judson is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
