Preview: Pennington Tigers vs. Cleveland Panthers
The Pennington Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Cleveland Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pennington will be strutting in after a victory while Cleveland will be coming in after a loss.
Pennington has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. They blew past Winston County 76-40 on the road. 76 seems to be a good number for Pennington as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-37, which was the final score in Cleveland's tilt against Brindlee Mountain on Tuesday.
The victory got Pennington back to even at 3-3. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Pennington ended up a good deal behind Cleveland in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, losing 68-50. Can Pennington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
