Baseball Recap: Willow Takes a Loss

Willow has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the St. Charles Catholic Comets, falling 11-1. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Willow's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for St. Charles Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Willow Lions duke it out with St. James Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Charles Catholic, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Amant at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
