Football Recap: Delta Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Delta Academy can now relate to. They lost 52-26 to the Claiborne Academy Rebels on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Delta Academy lost, don't look at Chaderious Boclair. Despite the final result, he picked up 146 receiving yards and three scores, and also rushed for 81 yards on only nine carries. Boclair also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending two passes.

Kyler Monk continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Claiborne Academy, throwing for 174 yards and five TDs, while also rushing for 112 yards on only ten carries. Those five passing touchdowns gave Monk a new career-high. Nate Smith was in the mix as well, providing Claiborne Academy with one touchdown.

Delta Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Claiborne Academy, their record now sits at 9-2.

Delta Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Claiborne Academy, they will square off against Newton County Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
