Football Recap: Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels vs. North Star Cougars
Moshannon Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 35-19 fall against the North Star Cougars on Friday. The Black Knights/Damsels haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Although Moshannon Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Ben Smeal, Mason Abernethy, and Jack Moore.

Kasey Yoder was a one-man wrecking crew For North Star. as he rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 121 yards and one TD on only six passes. Yoder also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Moshannon Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 26-20 defeat against Everett on the 29th. As for North Star, they have also already played their next matchup, a 26-6 loss against Juniata Valley on the 29th.
