Football Recap: Moshannon Valley Comes Up Short on the Road Against North Star + How To Watch

Moshannon Valley had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. The game between the Black Knights/Damsels and the North Star Cougars didn't end well, with the Black Knights/Damsels falling 35-19. The Black Knights/Damsels haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Although Moshannon Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Ben Smeal, Mason Abernethy, and Jack Moore.

Moshannon Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kam Robinson and Chase Mital.

Kasey Yoder was a one-man wrecking crew For North Star. as he rushed for 127 yards and four scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 121 yards and one TD on only six passes. Yoder didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moshannon Valley will face off against Everett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Star, they will take on Juniata Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
