Volleyball Recap: Waverly-Shell Rock Takes a Loss

If Waverly-Shell Rock was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Charles City on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Go-Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denver Cyclones on Saturday. The Go-Hawks have struggled against the Cyclones recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Waverly-Shell Rock's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Denver, their victory bumped their record up to 31-1.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Waverly-Shell Rock and Osage will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th. As for Denver, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Springville on the 27th.
