Football Game Preview: Asbury Rams vs. Holly Pond Broncos + How To Watch

Asbury is 0-3 against Holly Pond since September of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Rams will take on the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Asbury has given up an average of 52 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Asbury is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Brindlee Mountain on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rams were beaten by the Lions 54-18. Despite 66 more yards than the Lions, the Rams couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Asbury might have lost, but man, Blake Hillis was a machine: he threw for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 60 yards on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Holly Pond came up short against Whitesburg Christian Academy on Friday, falling 28-6.

Asbury's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Holly Pond, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Asbury was dealt a bruising 44-0 defeat at the hands of Holly Pond when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
