Whitewater hasn't had much luck against East Troy recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. After both having extra time off,  the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 7:00  p.m.
Whitewater came up short against  Delavan-Darien on Tuesday, falling  3-0.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12,  25-7.
Meanwhile, East Troy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four last Thursday. They came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Trojans have posted  against the Eagles since October 15, 2022.
 If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-102) East Troy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 16-25,  16-14.
Whitewater better focus on containing  Hailey Wojciuch and  Madi Wojciuch as the pair were huge in East Troy's win. Hailey  had 15  digs and four  aces, while  Madi  had 12  digs and one assist. That's the most  digs  Hailey has posted since back in September of 2024.
 East Troy  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 17  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 11 consecutive  matchups.
 East Troy's win bumped their record up to 20-17. As for Whitewater, their loss dropped their record down to 1-21.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Tuesday's  contest:  Whitewater has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 5  aces per game. However, it's not like East Troy struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 7.8  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Whitewater came up short against East Troy in their previous meeting  last Tuesday, falling  3-1. Can the Whippets avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
