Football Recap: Reece Sellers and Evan Martin Pace Steinbrenner Defense + How To Watch

Steinbrenner extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They took a 31-14 bruising from the Plant City Raiders. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 7-0 in the first quarter.

Although Steinbrenner took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Martin and Isaiah Robinson.

Even if they lost, Steinbrenner's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Reece Sellers and Martin, who racked up five sacks between them. With that strong performance, Sellers is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. Steinbrenner received some extra help from Martin, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

As for Plant City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 29.8 points this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plant City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maurian Hugee, who rushed for 133 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. Haven Pierce was another key pass catcher, picking up 170 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Steinbrenner has already played their next game (against East Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Plant City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 44-21 loss against Sumner on the 26th.
