Tuba City had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 68-67 win over the Winslow Bulldogs. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tuba City's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Winslow, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuba City will head out to challenge Hopi at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Hopi's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Tuba City has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for Winslow, they will venture away from home to take on Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Winslow is facing Blue Ridge at the right time seeing as Blue Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
