Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forreston). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders 78-41. With the Cardinals ahead 47-25 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Brock Lehman and Caleb Thomas certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Lehman posted 15 points, while Thomas earned 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Lester, who had six points.

Forreston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Forreston Cardinals challenge the Eastland Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Forreston surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they will challenge River Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. River Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Ashton-Franklin Center likes a good challenge.
