Football Game Preview: Flintridge Prep Wolves vs. Chadwick Dolphins

Flintridge Prep is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Chadwick is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolves will host the Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Flintridge Prep's defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so Chadwick's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Flintridge Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Sage Hill, who was ranked 15th at the time (Flintridge Prep was ranked third). The Wolves came out on top against the Lightning by a score of 29-21 on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chadwick). They blew past Cate 55-20 on Saturday. With the Dolphins ahead 41-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Chadwick had a senior duo take command as Bryson Edgar threw for 221 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt and Benjamin Wandrick rushed for 167 yards and one TD while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Ezekiel Robel was in the mix as well, providing the Dolphins with one score.

Chadwick was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 180 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Chadwick's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 3.5 times. In that department, Chris Carpenter was the leader with two sacks. Chadwick received some extra help from Robel, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Flintridge Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Chadwick, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
