Soccer Recap: Hastings Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hastings and North, and North kept the tradition alive. The Raiders came up short against the Polars on Sunday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Hastings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 144th, while North are ranked 25th).

Hastings has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for North, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Polars beat Hastings by a score of 5-1 on Monday.
