Coudersport won the last time they faced Smethport and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Falcons blew past the Hubbers 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Coudersport never let Smethport on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.

Laney Stimaker went supernova, getting 11 digs, eight kills, and two aces.

Stimaker wasn't the only good server: Coudersport was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive contests.

Coudersport's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Smethport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Coudersport will challenge Wellsboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Smethport, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Port Allegany at 7:15 p.m.
