Baseball Recap: Southeast Guilford Takes a Loss

Southeast Guilford and South Caldwell squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Southeast Guilford had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-5. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

This is the second loss in a row for Southeast Guilford and nudges their season record down to 11-14. As for South Caldwell, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

Southeast Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Caldwell, they will square off against Watauga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
