Basketball Recap: Rock Hill Comes Up Short

Rock Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gallia Academy Blue Devils. The Redmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 62-52.

Despite the loss, Rock Hill still got an impressive performance from Kelan Davidson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Davidson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Ison, who posted ten points.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Gallia Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Hill won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oak Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gallia Academy, they will challenge Fairland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
