Baseball Recap: Caldwell Academy Comes Up Short

Caldwell Academy couldn't beat Faith Christian on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. Caldwell Academy fell just short of Faith Christian by a score of 5-4.

Spencer McBurney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Alex Benson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Caldwell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Faith Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Caldwell Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-4 defeat against Westchester Country Day on the 29th. As for Faith Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 23-2 victory against Tabernacle Christian on the 2nd.
