Soccer Recap: Manning Comes Up Short

Manning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-2 to the East Clarendon Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against East Clarendon this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 last Tuesday.

James Hunter wasn't going to let East Clarendon walk away unscathed as he scored both of Manning's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Manning's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for East Clarendon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manning will square off against Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Clarendon, they will challenge Lakewood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. East Clarendon's defense better be ready for this one: Lakewood has averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season.
