Baseball Recap: Glen Rose Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clifton last Saturday, Glen Rose came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 10-2 to the Brownwood Lions on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 8th.

Glen Rose saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cullen Kickhoefer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The Tigers are 5-1 when Kickhoefer posts three or more hits, but 8-12 otherwise. Another was Joe Randell, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Glen Rose's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Brownwood, their record is now 11-13.

While Glen Rose had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
