Basketball Game Preview: Rising Sun Shiners vs. Milan Indians

The Rising Sun Shiners and the Milan Indians will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Rising Sun and 18 for Milan dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Rising Sun took a blow against Oldenburg Academy, falling 57-21. While losing is never fun, the Shiners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Twisters are ranked 66th).

Meanwhile, Milan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 38-32 to Edinburgh.

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Rising Sun, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Rising Sun didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Milan in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. Does Rising Sun have another victory up their sleeve, or will Milan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
