Monrovia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Jones out in front who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Rahn, who scored 19 points along with six steals.

Providence Cristo Rey's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.6 points per game. As for Monrovia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9.

Providence Cristo Rey will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the at 7:30 p.m. As for Monrovia, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Edgewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
