Volleyball Recap: Carl Hayden Community Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central last Monday, Carl Hayden Community came back down to earth. The Carl Hayden Community Falcons came up short against the Verrado Vipers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-15.

Ruben Camarena paced Carl Hayden Community's offense, picking up 11 kills. Camarena got some help from Sebasti?n Zazueta and his 17 assists. Martin Cervantes controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Carl Hayden Community's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Verrado, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Carl Hayden Community will venture away from home to square off against McClintock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Verrado, they will welcome Desert Edge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Desert Edge their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
