Basketball Recap: Hinsdale South Comes Up Short

Hinsdale South lost against Downers Grove South back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hinsdale South Hornets fell to the Downers Grove South Mustangs 55-49.

Despite the loss, Hinsdale South still got an impressive performance from Maeve Savage, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. The contest was Savage's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Brynn Diedrich was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Hinsdale South's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Downers Grove South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-14 record this season.

Hinsdale South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-44 defeat against Glenbard West on the 11th. Downers Grove South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
