Basketball Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

Cosby was the 48-38 winner over Deep Run when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Thursday.

Among those leading the charge was Tyler Verity, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four). Jack Dobranski was another key player, putting up nine points.

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Deep Run, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Cosby will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Clover Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Deep Run, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against J.R. Tucker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
